VI Hudson was founded in the summer of 1995 with the Dover Technologies purchase of the AT&T FCP Business Unit located in North Andover, Massachusetts. The business operated out of the AT&T location long enough to build safety stock, plan and execute the move of the process and equipment and renovate a rented facility in Hudson, NH where VI Hudson was born. The renovation, relocation, and process startup was completed in early 1996 without missing a single customer shipment. In 1997, the Company purchased the plant from the landlord and over the next 7 years grew the business into a world class supplier and a leader in frequency control product design and fabrication. Hudson's primary products are SAW and BAW based VCXOs, High Frequency XOs, Clock/Data Recovery devices, as well as Frequency Translation and Clock Smoothing products. Its core competencies include advanced packaging, functional integration, silicon and SAW/BAW element design and automated assembly. The facility and is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified.

The Mount Holly Springs facility got its start back in 1952 when Luther McCoy and Don Kutz along with several other outside investors established McCoy Electronics. Their first products were quartz crystals for the military and avionics marketplace. Sometime in the late 50's or early 60's crystal filters were introduced. Then in the early 60's with the acquisition of Delta-F, Inc. of Geneva Illinois, oscillators were introduced. Luther McCoy saw the need for large amounts of money to improve the equipment and processes and advance their product lines, money which was not available as a small independent company. In 1961 we were sold to Oak Industries. The marriage with Oak gave McCoy those funds and allowed them to grow. Oak Frequency Control (a new name) grew through their own efforts and successes and also through acquisitions by Oak Industries. There were 9 companies purchased over the years by Oak and subsequently became part of Oak Frequency Control. These included Delta-F, Rockwell Crystal Filters, Crystronics, Ovenaire/Audio/Carpenter, Croven Crystals, Houston Electronics, Spectrum Technology, Piezo Crystal Company and Tele Quarz. In 2000, Corning purchased all of Oak Industries and they became Corning Frequency Control. In September, 2004, Vectron International purchased the Corning Frequency Control Group. The Mount Holly facility and its employees focus on six sigma and lean manufacturing concepts and produce a wide variety of products including timing boards, OCXO's, TCXO's, VCXO's, hybrid clocks, filters, and mini ovens. The facility is ISO9001 certified.

VI, Neckarbischofsheim was founded as Tele Quarz in 1974. At this time Tele Quarz supplied very successful crystals for pagers and mobile radios in express service. In 1985, TeleQuarz founded Euro Quarz in Austria for crystal mass production for telecommunication and automotive applications. In 1996 the crystal mass production was transferred to Delipro/Slovakia. Today the production capacity is 100 K/day. In 1983 Tele Quarz started with the production of oscillators. In 1998, the Tele Quarz Group was acquired by Oak Industries and the Oak Frequency Control Group was founded. In 2000, Oak Industries merged with Corning Incorporated. Tele Quarz changed the name to Corning Frequency Control GmbH & Co. KG in 2001. CFC Neckarbischofsheim has changed from a crystal producer to a primarily oscillator producer with the main product line of OCXOs. The whole portfolio is OCXOs, TCXOs, VCXO, PXOs, precision crystals, and high volume crystals. The facility is QS 9000 and ISO / TS 16949 certified.

In 1997, Oak Industries came to China to start up oscillator manufacturing on the west side of the modern city of Shanghai. After the Corning acquisition - and with strong market growth - the business moved across the city to a larger factory in the WaiGaoQiao Free Trade Zone. The factory formerly produced complete VCXOs but, after a restructuring effort in mid-2003, it now produces VCXO subassemblies which are finished in Mount Holly Springs. Today, commercial and logistics activities to support our customer base are key to the China operation and offer a competitive advantage. VI China is ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified.

CINOX was founded as Tedford Crystal Laboratories in the 1930's as a supplier of crystals for amateur radios. The company was a major supplier of crystals used for military applications during World War II, and then focused on the mobile radio market in the years following the war. During the 1950's and 1960's Tedford Labs was the key supplier of crystals to Motorola for land mobile radios. In the late 1960's the Tedford family sold the company to Harris Corporation. In 1980 the local Harris management team bought the company, changed the name to CINOX, and operated it as a privately held corporation until 1984. CINOX is an acronym for Cincinnati oscillators and crystals, with the "X" coming from xtals, an abbreviation for crystals. In 1984 the company was acquired by EG&G, Inc., and was later acquired by private owner operators in 1993. During the 1990's, CINOX focused its resources toward crystals for TCXOs and OCXOs, eventually becoming the main supplier of crystals to VI Norwalk. In 2000 CINOX was acquired by Vectron.

Acquired in 1997 by Vectron, the Telefilter facility incorporates over 25 years of experience in the design and manufacture of SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) Filters, MCF (Monolithic Crystal Filters) and Quartz Crystals. These products are used in a wide variety of applications including but not limited to wireless (local loop, local area network, paging services, global positioning, cell phones) Wireline (cable, SONET/SDH, optical receivers & transmitters) and Network Computing.

Today from their new offices located near the financial district in downtown Shanghai, Vectron Asia offers full sales and technical support services to both OEM and EMS customers. In addition in January 2009 Vectron opened its 2nd Asian office, this time located in Singapore.
