Product Platform Manager - Physical Products
Description:
The role Product Platform Manager will include extensive direct collaboration with the end-user to determine the "system-level" temperature and pressure measurement product requirements, translation of those requirements into a "system-level" design specification, project planning and project management of "system-level" projects that will also require coordination of sub-project activities in other VI facilities, final test and verification of the completed systems, and final installation and verification of systems at the customer's site.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Works with marketing to develop short and long term product road maps for the Physical Sensor Products.
- Lead a cross functional team consisting of development, production and quality, through the development and delivery from the quote/specification stages all the way through to product release.
- Works closely with sales to develop new opportunities with target customers.
- Develop specification sheets and provide quotes for opportunities.
- Conduct customer, sales representative and internal training on Physical Sensor product portfolio and technical capabilities.
- Assist customers with technical questions and installation trials and direct to the next level of technical support.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Product Specification: Collaboration with customers to determine their passive/wireless temperature or pressure measurement requirements (Smart Grid, Food Probe, Rotating equipment and High-Temp). Requirement determination includes understanding the customer's application, physical equipment configuration, and output interface needs (i.e. 4-20mA, RS-232, RS-485, CanBus and high level communication protocols). Once understood, the "system-level" temperature and pressure product requirements need to be translated into a "system-level" product requirement or specification. A detailed understanding of two major system level building blocks will be defined and include the wireless reader electronics (interface/communication protocol, operating modes and antenna) and passive temperature or pressure element (packaging, antenna and performance enhancement).
- Product Development and Project Management: Once the "system-level" product has been specified, "system-level" project planning and project management will be required and will involve coordination of sub-projects across numerous VI facilities. The sub-projects will be variants of the two major system building blocks listed above. The project management activities require a good understanding of Microsoft project and good project management skills and weekly oversight of all sub and system level development projects is expected. Once all the individual components of the system have been completed, then oversight of full characterization and verification of the system needs to be done.
- Applications Development: Interface with the customers to understand their applications, perform experiments in-house or in the field to demonstrate the capabilities of our system solutions. Finally, as customer specific solutions are completed, customer support and installation at customer sites will be required.
Requirements:
- Requires a minimum of BSEE
- Extensive skills in the specification, characterization and customer implementation of wireless systems.
- Familiarity with the use of antennas, digital and RF measurements and signal capture, sensor output interfaces (i.e. 4-20mA, RS-232, RS-485, CanBus, etc.) with a firm understanding of wireless principals is required.
- Prior product management and engineering experience required.
- Good business development experience would be positive and great customer interface skills are a must.

Description:
This position will be responsible for providing pre & post sales technical sales support on Vectron’s Frequency Control Products. The Application Engineer will translate customer technical needs into ongoing and future development efforts. This individual must be organized, ability to multi-task and capable of on-site troubleshooting. This role serves as a critical/strategic interface between our customers and the internal sales and product development teams.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Voice of the Customer feedback to define market requirements for new products and applications.
- Product training and technical assistance for OEM, EMS and distribution channels.
- Evaluate Competitive Product offerings.
- Assist in the characterization of current and future product offerings.
- Generation of technical support material such as data sheets and evaluation boards.

Principal Filter Applications Engineer ⁄ Filter Applications Manager
Description:
This position will be responsible for providing pre– & post–sales technical consultative support to customers on filter products and for providing expert customer-based input to our engineering product design cycle. The Principal Filter Applications Engineer will translate customer technical needs into ongoing and future product development efforts. This individual must be capable of on-site troubleshooting and must be customer savvy. The role serves as a critical strategic interface between the customer end–user and our sales and product engineering teams. Furthermore, the Application Engineer will identify new design in opportunities in engineering stage at potential or existing customers, initiate discussions on product specs and lead the product identification process through the design in process.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Travels to customer locations in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore to provide onsite technical sales support for the implementation of customer applications dealing with filters, especially during the customer’s initial evaluation and outfitting.
- Reports to General Management in Teltow, Germany.
- Helps to author application notes, case studies and white papers based on customer application experiences.
- Suggests product improvements, variations, and new products that address widespread customer application challenges.
- Makes presentations on the technical aspects of products to customers, prospects and technical audiences.
- Assists sales in assessing potential customer opportunities in terms of feasibility and magnitude of market need.
- Provides follow-up in disseminating⁄explaining technical information on specific applications to customers/prospects.

Requirements:

Regional Sales Manager – China
Description:
The Regional Sales Manager will oversee pre sale and/or post sale support of company products. He will be tasked with the sales coverage of core market accounts in all China regions; responsible for creating demand and identifying emerging accounts. He will take proactive measures in opening up (demand discovery of) new business opportuntites, especially in the Core market segments. Being customer-oriented, he will provide answers to customer inquiries concerning products specifications and applications. A trail-blazer, he will work with and champion the Reps in adequately covering the territory and establishing new customer bases as well as creating demand in exisiting opportunities.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Provides excellent customer service through managing of daily sales operations and escalations from customers⁄Representatives in China.
- Proactively explores business opportunities to expand market share including development and implementation of accounts penetration strategies to maximize business opportunities.
- Reports directly to Director of Asia Sales.
- Organizes and conducts presentations to existing and potential customers.
- Responses in a timely manner to customers’ sales inquiries and generation of quotations, product roadmap, product qualifications, specification reviews and handling of Return Material Authorizations (RMA).
- Locates and develops specific sales opportunities with customers.
- Works closely with Office Manager and CSRs on daily business administrations.
- Establishes close communication with customers/Reps in terms of sales forecast, program changes, business reviews, negotiations and overall requirements.
- Builds and fosters strong and solid relationship with customers/Reps in China region including frequent customer visits.
- Understands customer’s needs, obtains feedback and accurately forecasts short term and long term requirements.
- Works closely with Product Managers & Global Account Managers to formulate and execute account strategy, especially during the period of negotiations.
- Works closely with customers to increase allocation through socket replacement and/or proposing of programs to increase allocation.
- Manages Consignment Programs proposed by customers and ensure good inventory turns.
- Is expected to travel overseas on assignments and trainings even on short notices.
- Handles daily escalations from customers and explores possible resolutions before escalating to the next higher level.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
- Required to have at least 2 years of semiconductor sales experience in China region.
- Should have excellent customer interface skills and should be a team player with leadership capabiliutes to work with distributor sales personnel.
- Should be proficient in English, Chinese and any Chinese native dialects will be an added advantage.
- Needs excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Achieves and exceeds established sales and profit goals set by the company.
- Accountable for customer’s Account Receivables and follows-up on past due payments.
- Chases down customers’ forecasted bookings and takes prompt actions on overdue backlogs.
- Handles data processing through Vectron’s Internal system (Oracle).
- Acts independently with excellent integrity and refers to the supervisor for occasional guidance.

- Field Report (Customer visit report);
- Monthly Customers’ Bookings Report;
